Contemplating John 15:16

            Chosen

So many, I have known on this journey to find God. fruit
So many days, I journeyed.
So many classes, paths, and ways.
So many disciplines!
Truth is:
He finds us.

He entered our world, and loved it and loved us,
just as we are.
He is as close to us as He can be.
Truth is:
The Holy one holds us and prunes us and loves us,
lifting sin from us,
bridging gaps,
freeing us.
He brings new life,
here in this degraded world.
He loves us, and we find life in the light.
Truth is:
He finds us.

About Tom Bolton

I'm a Husband and Dad, a former Enterprise Systems Manager at the City of Milwaukee, and a Disciple and Lay Servant at First United Methodist of West Allis. As I study the Bible, sometimes I feel moved to work through my understanding by writing poetry. I also am continuing to learn in my dialysis experience and pursuit of a kidney transplant. Sometimes I just feel like writing about something that grabs my attention too.
