About

I’m a Husband and Dad, a former systems Manager at the City of Milwaukee, and a Disciple and worker at First United Methodist Church of West Allis.   I’m also a supporter/volunteer at Divine Intervention, and a Member of the Board and the Supervisory Committee for Prime Financial Credit Union.

As I study the Bible, sometimes I feel moved to work through my understanding by writing poetry.  This will be my place for storing and  sharing that poetry.  I have concluded a process to discern my calling, and to learn more about Christian Leadership, and this will be my place to store some of those musings.

My kidneys failed completely in 2020 and I got a transplanted kidney in 2024. I have long been private about my kidney disease (it started in the late ’70s), but I am thinking it may help me and others if I reflect on some of my experiences.

Sometimes I just feel like writing about something that grabs my attention too.

I have changed my header photograph after 2 years of keeping it with the ferns. I did like the ferns, so I may change it back soon. For today, though, I am using a snippet of a photo I took in Door County, Wisconsin.
I am going to try to keep my schedule of posting at two per week from now on. Tuesday will be a new or repeated poem by me, and Thursday will be an essay on missions or leadership studies or a random recommendation of something. That has been my basic schedule for the past six months, but sometimes I add days. I won’t do that so much going forward, but may re-blog other work on weekend days.

  5. Hey there, I dig your poetry!
